Minneriya National Park is a famous wildlife reserve located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, best known for its spectacular “Elephant Gathering”, one of the largest wild elephant congregations in Asia. During the dry season, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank (reservoir) to drink water, bathe, and feed.
