Day 10: Ella to Yala | Nine Arch Bridge & Wild Safari Drive
Before leaving the mountains, we walk down to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge to watch the train cross over this stunning colonial-era railway marvel rising above the jungle ravine. We then descend from the hills, stopping to view the roaring Rawana Waterfall, and drive south to the dry-zone wilderness of Yala.
In the afternoon, climb into a rugged 4x4 for a thrilling safari inside Yala National Park, tracking wild leopards, sloth bears, elephants, and crocodiles through the dense coastal scrub forest.
Day 11: Yala to Tangalle | Hummanaya Natural Marine Blowhole Visit
We travel along the southern coastline today towards the golden, palm-fringed bays of Tangalle.
En route, we will pull over in Kudawella for an exciting Hummanaya natural marine blowhole visit. Day 12: Tangalle to Mirissa | Mulkirigala Rock Monastery & Coconut Tree Hill
Before settling onto our next beach destination, we head inland to visit the historic Mulkirigala Rock Monastery cave painting tours.
